For over 50 years, Point Mallard Water Park has offered FAMILY FUN! Named for the late J. Gilmer Blackburn, the park opened in August of 1970 after years of dedication to build an attraction for all ages in North Alabama. The water park features a Wave Pool, Pro Bowl Slide, Towering Sky Pond and Speed Slides, Three Flume Tube Slides, Olympic Pool, Sandy Beach Area, Kids Area featuring the Squirt Factory & Duck Pond, Scenic Lagoon, Concessions & Gift Shop. The park offers day parties and birthday parties during regular business hours and can be reserved exclusively for After-Hours group or corporate parties.

The Point Mallard Golf Course offers 18 holes at one of the South's best courses! This scenic championship course is open year-round and offers annual passes. For more information or to make a tee time, please call (256) 341-4925.
The Point Mallard Campground is the perfect place for that fun family weekend get away! Our 25-acre campground is open year-round and offers 217 full hookup sites, laundry facility and store. Both short-term and extended stay sites are available. Please call (256) 341-4826 for more information.
Ice Complex
Point Mallard Ice Complex is currently CLOSED. We appreciate your understanding.
The Point Mallard Strike Zone features target greens, tee dividers and an enclosed shelter. Tokens and E-keys are available for purchase at the Point Mallard Golf Course. The Strike Zone Office and Batting Cages are currently CLOSED. The Strike Zone field is utilized for several annual events such as the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic, the Daikin Festival and the Battle for Decatur. The Point Mallard Prayer Chapel is a quaint chapel perfect for your modest wedding. This open air, outdoor facility seats approximately 80 people, includes bench-style seating and an altar with electricity, lighting and ceiling fans. Parking is available and decorating is allowed (no holes or artificial flower petals). There are no restroom facilities on-site. For more information, call (256) 341-4829. The Eagle Amphitheatre was designed and built by local Boy Scouts earning their Eagle Scout badge. It seats approximately 75 and offers electricity. The beautiful Tennessee River and lovely foliage creates a lovely backdrop for any outdoor event at this location just South of the Point Mallard Ice Skating Complex. The Spirit of America Pavilion is located at the end of the road behind the Ronald Reagan Spirit of America Stage. The pavilion is approximately 20 ft x 50 ft with ten picnic tables. The location boasts lots of shaded and open air green space to expand your event further than the covered pavilion. There are no restroom facilities on-site, but the soccer fields and the Expo Pavilion have public restroom facilities. For more information, call (256) 341-4829. The Wave Pool Pavilion is located in the middle of the action, right next to the iconic Wave Pool. The pavilion holds approximately 50 people and reserved for Day Parties booked through our Group Sales Office. For more information, contact us at (256) 341-4829 or e-mail us!
The Lagoon Pavilion is conveniently located in the middle of the park, off the trail that connects both ends. Like the Wave Pool Pavilion, this pavilion is reserved for Day Parties booked through our Group Sales Office. This scenic walking / Bike Trail winds along the Tennessee river at Point Mallard Park. Some areas are provide a paved alternate route. Joggers, walkers, bikes and leashed pets are welcome. The trail connects with the larger bike route that runs through Decatur.
Jimmy Johns Tennis Center
The "Jimmy Johns Tennis Center", located behind the T.C. Almon Recreation Center in Point Mallard Park, is owned and operated by the Decatur Parks & Recreation Department. It features 12 championship hard courts, 4 championship clay courts and 2 indoor hard courts. The Pro Shop has a lounge area, fully stocked tennis pro shop and men's and women's restrooms. All courts are lighted and there is a large viewing area. A backboard area to practice ground strokes and volleys is located next to the indoor courts. For more information, call (256) 341-4943.
Bill J. Dukes Athletic Complex
The "Bill J. Dukes Athletic Complex", operated by Decatur Parks & Recreation Department, is located within Point Mallard Park. The 40-acre complex is composed of three lighted, fenced baseball fields (2-200 ft; 1-275 ft). The complex also includes bleachers on concrete pads, press boxes over the dugouts and a concession/restroom building. For more information, call (256) 341-4930.
Ronald Reagan Spirit of America Fields
The "Spirit of America Fields" are located within Point Mallard Park. The facility is named for President Ronald Reagan who spoke at the Spirit of America Festival in 1984. The ten-acre facility boasts laser-graded, sodded and lighted fields with a permanent outdoor stage at the East end. The park is operated by the Parks & Recreation Department.
